Hardscaping
At Black Maple, we don’t look at hardscaping as just “laying pavers” or “putting down a patio.” It’s more serious than that. It’s the part of your yard that actually has to work to support weight, deal with weather, stay solid through seasons, and still look good on day 500, not just day 1.
We’ve been doing this for over 20 years, and we still treat every project like it matters. Because it does, it’s your home, your yard, your place to relax or host people. So we build like craftsmen, not like a rushed crew checking boxes.
We help you build grounded, purposeful outdoor areas like a tidy patio for weekend hangouts, a suitable pathway to mend the muddy sidewalk, or retaining walls to prevent your yard from flowing downhill.
Plants make a yard pretty, and hardscaping makes it usable. That’s the truth.
Good hardscaping:
When everything fits together, the stone, the steps, the lines, the layout, your whole outdoor space just works better. And honestly, that’s what we care about: building outdoor areas that feel natural and built for real life, not a magazine cover.
We handle all the structural parts of your outdoor space. Strong builds, clean installs, and materials that make sense for your property, not whatever trend is floating around.
Attention to the little things is considered in every project: grading, drainage, base preparation, and the aspects that most people will not see but will undoubtedly notice when they are done improperly.
We keep our process simple and very upfront. No mystery planning. No hidden steps.
The whole goal: keep communication open and build something we’re proud to put our name on.
Small jobs might take a few days. Bigger patios or multi-feature builds can take a couple of weeks. We give a clear timeline before we start.
Suppose it’s in good shape, sure. If it’s failing or built poorly, we’ll be honest about that, too. Sometimes fixing it costs more than rebuilding it.
Not really. Most hardscapes need simple cleaning and sometimes re-sanding joints. We’ll go over everything during the walk-through.
Materials, size, design, drainage needs, labor, site access, basically everything that goes into doing a job right. We keep pricing transparent so you know what you’re paying for.
